Menu: Girls' Night Out Harvest Dinner

Since I committed to post every day for the month of November, I thought it would give me a little room to post something other than straight up recipes.  I'm not one to post weekly roundups or lists of my favorite kitchen items, stores, etc.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but its not what I'm going for in my blog.  I want my blog to be all about the recipes and food.  However, since I don't normally post on Saturdays, I thought it would be a fun feature for the month of November to revisit my archives and come up with party menus and ideas for seasonal celebrations. I really love planning menus and parties, so I thought I'd share some ideas with you.  I hope you guys like this new feature, so please feel free to give constructive feedback!

With the chaos of the holidays just around the corner, I think a girls' night out would be greatly appreciated as a chance to connect with your close friends and just relax, drink some wine, and eat a delicious meal.  Invite your closest friends over for a low-key night featuring a fall harvest dinner.

To Start:
Prosecco
Cheese & Antipasto tray

Main:
Harvest Salad:  mixed greens tossed with dried cranberries, sliced pears, praline pecans, goat cheese, and raspberry vinaigrette
paired with Pinot Gris

Dessert:

Cheers!

I think this is a great idea and look forward to future menus! Since moving to a new state, I've been in serious need of new girlfriends...so a "girls night out" is just what I need to get to know some more gals! :) Thanks for sharing!
